The Digital Director is the leader in LIGHTBLUE’s next phase of growth into Web 3 and immersive technology.

They are unbelievably curious and passionate about the future of digital, bursting with enthusiasm to develop it internally and ready to consult and support the agency’s client portfolio on their entry into it for the long term.

The Digital Director works alongside the Creative Director and leads the Digital Strategist in a digital journey from ideation and concept sell in and development through to execution, always asking what’s next?

The DD will work alongside both the New Business Development and Client Servicing team to build on opportunities with new and existing clients in creating and executing briefs The DD will work alongside Agency Senior Management to make the digital vision a reality over the long term…

Collaborate with the pitch team providing expertise and guidance on digital strategy and contribute to the creation of the initial design for all digital projects ensuring that needs, desires and budget of a client’s expectations are met

Collaborate with the wider teams to deliver cohesive business solutions and strategies Contribute to the concept of LIGHTBLUE’s digital strategy and content

Work side by side with clients from the start, proposing transformational solutions, and delivering exciting digital solutions, supported by the entire agency to ensure that the job is executed in the best possible way whilst following the LIGHTBLUE processes

Track and monitor overall account performance to meet revenue targets – monthly overview of client activities, revenue forecast, future preparation, prepare and deliver client presentations, case studies and proposals.

Research emerging technology, trends, and new methodology and recommend solutions to meet client expectations. Defining and executing new concepts in emerging platforms, including but not limited to artificial intelligence

Support the creative department and better the understanding of digital concepts for existing and

new business whilst executing concepts that support client objectives

Create video graphics and additional creative assets that coordinate with the creative team

Stay up to date with online media and evolving platforms

Think of campaigns from a 360 approach online, offline, and digital

Inspire and embrace challenges that enable new ways of thinking internally and externally

Drive the creative translation of digital media and communication strategies to deliver digital work

Guide the wider agency on existing and future platforms



Staff Management:

You will be responsible for the management and development of the Digital Strategist, taking on responsibility for reviews and performance management of the DS. Ensure that the team has all of the resources needed to achieve their best work, keep the Department heads aware of current projects that the team is working on. Manage workload and keep Accountability update whilst encouraging the DS to do so.


Understanding the Agency:

• Understand LIGHTBLUE credentials

• Familiarisation with LIGHTBLUE offering and brand principles.

• Understanding of and willingness to integrate cross functionally with other departments across the agency.

• Use all available opportunities, both inside and outside the Agency, to understand Client’s brands and businesses.


Personal and Professional Development:

You are actively encouraged to develop your skills that enhance your capabilities and the operations of the business. Any course or webinar deemed appropriate for continued up-skilling should be submitted to the HR Department for consideration. You should also use either internal or external resources as provided by the company for your personal development. The Agency is fully committed to the growth and development of all staff and will provide support as and when the opportunity arises.



• Experience working in a digital department

• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite

• Knowledge in UI/UX

• Eagerness to learn new ways of working

• Willingness to constantly develop and build on the understating of the digital sphere



Degree in Digital Media and/or a degree similar.
